FAQs
Will a regular power bank work with it? What's the battery life on different settings?
It’s fully compatible with any USB power source (5V/2A), including power banks, car chargers, and wall adapters. Battery life depends on capacity and heat level: A 10,000mAh power bank delivers 8 hours on low (40-45°C), 6 hours on medium (45-50°C), and 4 hours on high (50-55°C). Pair it with a 20,000mAh bank, and you’ll get double the runtime—enough for two nights of camping warmth.
Is it safe to use? Could it overheat or leak electricity?
It meets UL 1359 safety standards for electric heating products, so safety is guaranteed. A smart thermostat cuts power if temps rise 5°C above your setting, preventing overheating. The heating elements are insulated with waterproof fabric—even if it gets damp from morning dew, there’s no risk of electric leakage.
How do I clean it after outdoor use? Will the heating elements get damaged?
It’s machine-washable (just disconnect the USB plug first). Use a front-load washer on gentle cycle with mild detergent, cold water, then tumble dry on low heat. The heating panels are sealed waterproof—mine got covered in mud during a backpacking trip, and after washing, the heating function worked like new. The fabric didn’t pill or absorb water either.
What's the packed size? Is 2.5kg light enough for backpacking?
It folds down to 35×28×15cm—smaller than a folding camp chair—and fits easily in 60L+ hiking packs. At 2.5kg, it’s lightweight for a heated sleeping bag. I took it on the Appalachian Trail last month; it weighed about the same as my sleeping bag liner but kept me warm down to -15°C, which a regular liner can’t do.
