FAQs
Can I use the awning in rain or windy conditions?
The water-repellent Oxford fabric provides coverage during light to moderate rain, while the Pole Version uses iron support poles, 3 guy lines and 6 stakes for added stability in breezy conditions. Fully tension the guy lines and secure all stakes when wind is present, and take the awning down during severe wind, storms or other extreme weather.
Where do the suction cups work best, and how can I get a secure hold?
The suction cups work best on smooth, clean, dry and non-porous vehicle surfaces. Before installation, wipe away dust, moisture and dirt, then press each suction cup firmly against the surface before tensioning the straps. Rough, heavily textured, dirty or uneven surfaces may reduce suction strength.
Can I pack the awning away while it is wet?
For temporary transport, you can pack it briefly if necessary, but dry the fabric completely before long-term storage. Storing the awning while damp can lead to odor, mildew or fabric deterioration, so unfold and air-dry it as soon as possible after returning from a wet trip.
What is the difference between the Only Awning and Pole versions?
The Only Awning includes the canopy and 2 suction cups, but does not include support poles, guy lines or ground stakes. The Pole Version adds 2 × 200 cm (78.7 in) iron support poles, 3 guy lines and 6 aluminum-alloy stakes, allowing you to fully raise and tension the canopy for a more complete freestanding awning setup beside or behind the vehicle.
