FAQs
Is this a sleeping tent or an open shade shelter?
This is a large hex open-air shade shelter designed for beach days, lake trips, car camping, backyard gatherings, and daytime outdoor use. It creates an open shaded area, but it is not a sleeping tent, screen house, or enclosed camping tent with a floor.
How much shaded space does it provide?
When fully set up, it measures approx. 860 × 460 × 260 cm (28.2 × 15.1 × 8.5 ft) and provides approx. 28㎡ (301 sq ft) of shade coverage. It is suitable for approx. 8–16 people for daytime shade use, with room for folding chairs, a camp table, coolers, and weekend gear.
How does it handle sun, passing rain, and wind?
The UPF50+ 210D Oxford fabric works with COLD TI cooling technology to help reduce direct sun exposure and heat feel during bright outdoor days. The canopy features a PU 2000 mm water-resistant coating and Grade 4–5 surface water repellency, helping provide overhead coverage during brief drizzle or short light rain when pitched with proper slope and tension. The 6-point guyline structure helps distribute tension across the canopy, but it is not intended for prolonged heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, or storm conditions.
What ground works best for setup?
It works best on stake-friendly outdoor ground, such as grass, soil, and suitable campsite surfaces. Where ground conditions allow, drive stakes approx. 20 cm (7.9 in) into the ground and keep the shelter fully tensioned. Sand, loose soil, or hard surfaces may require extra anchoring methods before setup.
