Answers the weight question

Answering the common question first: it's fill weight, not total. I didn't realize that either. Bought mine with a gift card. Car camping in the Rockies after dark, the shell beaded off dew. Two months. No issues.

Bulky But Decent

Wasn't sure it'd beat the one I borrowed. It doesn't, quite. Took it to the beach early with the kids — dew rolled right off the shell, and the lining stayed cool and breathable on my skin. That part's great. My real gripe is space. Rolled up it's still nearly six feet long by a couple feet. Still works though. Who's got that much room in a cottage closet?

Beat the old one

First weekend of May I hauled it up north and slept out under the pines after a rain, everything muggy and my parents already snoring in the camper. It zips into a full bag or opens flat like a blanket, long enough that my feet don't hang off. The zipper runs both ways and the flap doesn't catch. Not fancy. I keep it by the door so I don't forget it. A month in, it's held up fine, and I don't miss the old one at all. Was replacing it ever really a question?

Sets up in a minute

I figured for the price it'd be thin as a bedsheet, and I wasn't wrong to wonder. But it puffed right up.

Took it down to the lake last night with two buddies, right at dusk. Weather was perfect, not a breath of wind. I had it spread out before I could get the cooler open. That's what I cared about most — I don't want to fight with gear after a long day. The fill is hollow-core synthetic, comfortable down around 60 degrees and survivable into the upper 20s if you've got base layers on. Haven't tested that. Not yet.

One honest note: the 680 and 760 numbers are the fill weight, not the whole thing. Small print, but fair.

My kid claimed it as theirs within ten minutes of it hitting the floor. Fine by me. That's where it's at.
