How is the waterproof performance for outdoor use? Will it be damaged by rain or sprinklers?
Different models have different waterproof ratings to fit outdoor scenarios precisely: the Cross-border Outdoor Camping LED Globe String Lights (IP55) and Outdoor Waterproof Colorful Bubble Globe LED String Lights (IP65) can directly handle light rain during camping and backyard sprinklers, and the IP65 model can even withstand moderate rain. The Star & Globe LED String Lights (IP44) and Christmas-themed lights (IP43/IP44) are suitable for dry outdoor or semi-shielded scenarios (such as inside tents or under eaves), just avoid prolonged rain. All outdoor models have sealed connectors, so they won't short-circuit due to water under normal use.
Is the battery life of solar and battery-powered versions sufficient? Can the solar version work on cloudy days?
The battery life is fully adapted to outdoor scenarios without power supply: the solar version can stay on for 8-12 hours continuously after 6-8 hours of sufficient sunlight on sunny days. On cloudy days, you can switch to USB charging (supported by some models) or backup battery power to avoid "power outage embarrassment". The battery-powered version can work continuously for 72 hours in low-brightness mode when using 3 AA batteries (brands like Duracell); the USB version can stay on for 36 hours when connected to a 10000mAh power bank, which is enough for 2-3 days of short camping trips.
Is installation complicated? Does it take up much space when stored for camping?
Installation is threshold-free and storage is extremely compact: all string lights adopt a flexible wire design, which can be directly hung or wrapped around tent poles, tree branches, fences or Christmas trees without tools. They can be quickly fixed with the included hooks. When stored, they can be folded to the size of a palm - a 20m-long string light only takes up 1/3 of the backpack side pocket after folding, and the short 1.5-3m models can even fit into a camping water bottle pocket, taking up no core luggage space at all.
How to choose the right length for different scenarios, like camping tents, Christmas trees, or backyard parties?
