Manual Coffee Grinder With an External Dial for Every Brew Method

The Traverseon Manual Coffee Grinder places grind control on the outside of the grinder. A numbered dial below the crank offers 60 clicks per turn across four full turns, giving you 240 settings from espresso to French press. To change brew methods, you simply turn the dial, with no need to remove the handle or open the grinder. Turning the dial clockwise until it stops returns it to zero, so any setting you use can be found again.

Inside, a CNC-machined 420 stainless steel conical burr turns on dual stainless steel ball bearings for a steady, even grind. The aluminum alloy body measures 188 mm (7.4 in) tall and 55 mm (2.2 in) wide and weighs approximately 625 g (22.0 oz), giving it a solid, balanced feel. A silicone grip sleeve with a leather-textured finish, a stainless steel crank arm and a solid wood knob keep each turn comfortable.

The hopper holds 30 g (1.1 oz) of whole beans, enough for two cups at 15 g each, and the aluminum alloy catch cup screws onto the body. The burr can be removed for brushing, and the catch cup can be rinsed with water. With no cord or battery, it suits coffee drinkers at home, in the office, at the campsite or on the road. Finished in Graphite Gray with a brown grip, it arrives in a lid-and-base gift box with a cleaning brush.

Functions
  • External Grind Dial, Switch Brew Methods Without Taking It Apart
On a grinder with internal adjustment, moving from espresso to pour-over means removing the crank and counting clicks out of sight. This grinder places a numbered dial on the outside, just below the crank. You turn the dial to the setting you want and start grinding, so changing brew methods takes a moment.
  • 240 Settings With a Clear Zero Point, Return to the Grind You Like
Once a cup tastes right, you want the same grind tomorrow. The dial offers 60 clicks per turn across four full turns, for 240 settings in total, and it has a clear zero point at the clockwise stop. Counting full turns from zero and reading the number on the dial brings you back to any setting you have used before, so a good cup is easy to repeat.
  • 420 Stainless Steel Conical Burr, Even Grounds From Espresso to French Press
Uneven grounds can make the same beans taste bitter in one cup and weak in the next. The CNC-machined 420 stainless steel conical burr is designed for an even grind, and its range reaches the fine grind an espresso machine needs as well as the coarse grind a French press calls for. One manual burr coffee grinder covers your everyday brewing.
  • Aluminum Alloy Body, a Solid Feel in Every Turn
A grinder you reach for every morning should feel steady in your hand. The aluminum alloy body weighs approximately 625 g (22.0 oz) and stands 188 mm (7.4 in) tall, so it sits firmly in your grip while you turn the crank. Its Graphite Gray finish with a brown grip looks at home on a kitchen counter or an office desk.
  • Dual Stainless Steel Ball Bearings, Smooth and Steady Grinding
When a burr shaft wobbles, grinding feels rough and the grounds come out uneven. Two stainless steel ball bearings support the shaft, helping the burr turn smoothly and stay centered as you grind. Each turn of the crank feels consistent, from the first beans in the hopper to the last.
  • Threaded Catch Cup, Grounds Stay Where They Belong
Grinding takes a firm grip, and a catch cup that slips loose can leave grounds across the counter. The aluminum alloy catch cup screws onto the body, so it stays securely in place while you grind. When you are finished, you unscrew it and pour the grounds straight into your brewer.
  • Removable Burr and Washable Catch Cup, Simple Everyday Cleaning
Coffee oils and fine grounds build up over time and can dull the flavor of fresh beans. The burr can be removed for brushing with the included cleaning brush, and the catch cup can be rinsed with water. A few minutes of regular care keeps every cup tasting clean and true to the beans.
  • 30 g Capacity, Enough Beans for Two Cups
Brewing for two should not mean filling the grinder twice. The hopper holds 30 g (1.1 oz) of whole beans, enough for two cups at 15 g each or one large mug. You fill it once, turn the crank and have fresh grounds ready for yourself and a companion in a single round.
  • No Cord or Battery, Fresh Grounds Wherever You Brew
Fresh coffee should not depend on an outlet. This portable hand coffee grinder runs entirely on the crank, with no motor noise to wake the house early in the morning. At 55 mm (2.2 in) wide, it packs easily into a travel bag or camp kit, so you can grind fresh beans at the office, on a road trip or at the campsite.
  • Lid-and-Base Gift Box, Ready to Give to a Coffee Lover
Choosing a gift for someone who cares about coffee is rarely simple. This grinder arrives in a lid-and-base gift box together with a cleaning brush and instructions, so it is ready to present as soon as it arrives. It makes a thoughtful choice for birthdays, holidays and housewarmings.
  • Silicone Grip and Solid Wood Knob, Comfortable Through Every Batch
Grinding for espresso takes more turns and a firmer hold than coarser settings. A silicone sleeve with a leather-textured finish wraps the middle of the body for a comfortable grip, and the solid wood knob sits naturally between your fingers. The stainless steel crank arm gives steady leverage on this hand crank coffee grinder.

FAQs

How do I set the grind size for my brew method?

Turn the dial clockwise until it stops; this is zero. Then turn it counterclockwise, counting full turns and reading the number on the dial. Suggested starting points are one full turn plus 10–14 for espresso, one full turn plus 18–24 for pour-over and two full turns plus 25–27 for French press. If the result does not match your expectation, return to zero first, count the turns again and then adjust by a few clicks to suit your beans.

Can this manual grinder grind fine enough for espresso?

Yes. The finest settings reach the grind size used for espresso machines. It is not intended for Turkish coffee, which requires an even finer powder. Fine settings take more turns and more effort, so steady, even cranking works best. If a shot runs too fast, move a few clicks finer; if it runs too slowly, move a few clicks coarser.

How should I clean the grinder?

Remove the burr and brush away grounds from the burr and bearings with the included brush. Do not rinse the burr or bearings with water. The catch cup can be rinsed with water; dry it completely before you screw it back on. If the dial begins to feel stiff, brush away any grounds around the dial and the threads before turning it again.

What is included in the box?
